Setco is in the process of introducing a new range of CV clutches to address the changing market requirements.
Specialising in the manufacture of Lipe brand of clutches for CVs, Setco Automotive is preparing to introduce a new range of products with the changing market requirements and regulations in view. An OE supplier of clutches to many CV majors in India like Tata Motors, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra and VE Commercial Vehicles, the company is taking into account the rising need for fuel efficiency, comfort and payload. As the new axle norms resonate with the CV industry and provide fleets with an opportunity to carry more per truck, Setco, a major supplier of clutches from the time it was established in 1982, is indulging in the necessary engineering of its products to help them meet the changing needs. The company, according to Udit Sheth, Vice Chairman, Setco Automotive, is also accounting for the changes that will be effected by the BSVI norms that will come into force in mid-2020. “In a CV, the clutch plays an important role in performance, emissions, comfort and reliability,” mentioned Sheth.
