Winter’s on its way, but the X-ADV can deal with it.
I’m starting to feel a bit sorryfor my X-ADV. It’s liked wellenough by me, but I neverreally praise it to the extentI do many other press bikes. That’s to be expected I guess. The Honda hasn’t been designed to go fast and excite, or take me in huge comfort to far-flung places. No, the maxi-scoot has been built to do a job. And that role is simply to take people places without fuss. Not inspire big grins or faster heart rates.
The locations I ride the Honda to are perhaps the main reason I feel a bit sympathetic for it. I head off to the Midlands quite often to collect test bikes, and I make sure I always go via interesting backroads. But once there, it’s left behind while I have an affair on something usually with a higher X-factor. Either that or the scoot just takes me into town to do some grocery shopping, or maybe see a mate for a cuppa. None of that menial stuff ’s worthy of putting on Facebook now is it?
