So the weekend after my summer holiday, I pointed my car south and headed to Littlehampton. After two and a half weeks in the baking Italian sunshine, the torrential rain I encountered on the drive down made me wonder if I’d made the right decision… I needn’t have been concerned, the sun greeted my arrival at the splendidly named Banjo Road, where the show is held on East Beach Green. Turning into the carpark I realised I’d parked right behind the Southcoast Transporters who had an impromptu club display. They weren’t in the main area, not as I had originally imagined because they’d been put in the VW club equivalent of the naughty corner, but because they had turned up on spec and asked if they could park together.
