The first round of the INMRC 2017 kicks off at the Kari Motor Speedway.
AFTER A SHORT SUMMER break, riders were back in action for the first round of Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship held at Kari Motor Speedway on June 8-11. This year there were two new categories being added — all-girls stock championship and super sport 200-300cc. The latter was eventually called off due to lack of entries.
The Super Sport upto 165cc class reigning champion Jagan Kumar (TVS Racing) led the pack from the front in Race 1, but was forced to quit the race due to an electrical fault. Youngster Rajiv Sethu (Honda Ten 10 racing) having just graduated from Pro Stock category took the win. Following him to the podium was fellow teammate Mathna Kumar and veteran racer Harry Sylvester (TVS Racing). Jagan sorted issues with his bike in Race 2 and finished on the podium, ahead of Mathana and K Y Ahmed of TVS Racing.
