Ankita Lokhande’s rise to fame came in the form of her impeccable portrayal of Archana Karanjkar in Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Pavitra Rishta’. From a warm balmy day in 2009 to a chilly evening in 2014, Lokhande had us glued to our screens. We as a collective audience had unsuspectingly become engulfed in the snares of the complicated yet well-thought-out plot of the hit serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’. In the television serial which also starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Lokhande took us through a journey spanning several decades and gave us insights about the hard life in Mumbai. Enchanted by her presence on screen and her sheer talent, the audience immediately took to Lokhande. ‘Pavitra Rishta’ not only brought Lokhande riches and fame but also a huge fan following. Felicitated with many awards for her characterisation of Archana Karanjkar, Lokhande had found a permanent spot not only on our television screens but also in our hearts.

Upon completing her stint with Balaji Telefilms, the actress decided to take a four year long hiatus from the world of acting. We are glad that her break is over as she will be seen next in Krish’s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ (Manikarnika) and will be sharing screen space with Bollywood’s most controversial diva, Kangana Ranaut. In between her hectic schedule, the talented actress carved out some time for Wedding Affair Magazine. A telephonic conversation with our stunning cover girl helped us instantly deduce that the actress is a forthcoming person who is completely in her elements at all times and that nothing can unnerve her. She speaks with grace, poise and intelligence.
