Mumbai-based Brandmark Solutions, known for providing innovative POP and POS solutions to the retail industry through original ideas, inventive approach, and impeccable execution, recently won the ‘Innovative Display of Brand through POS/POP’ award for their innovative concept and design at the Media Expo Excellence Awards 2020. In a special chat with Point of Purchase, Nabeel Khan, Director, Brandmark Solutions Private Limited shares his thoughts on innovation in business, industry challenges and more.

Could you share more details regarding the Media Expo Excellence Award 2020 that Brandmark won in the ‘Innovative display of Brand through POS/POP’ category?

Our shortlisted nominations were Lakme bridal CTU, Summer Zone FSU, Fevicol Marine glorifier and Creaseless shirt range announcer. The Raymond’s creaseless range unit which won the accolade was an out-of-the box design which required out-of-the box fabrication acumen. This new creaseless shirt range required to be depicted with matching POS at their TRS stores & it was well represented by a hand fan design element describing the shirt creases. The execution of unit was equally technical & was achieved in wood & self-adhesive specialised printed wall paper with 3D acrylic letters to match the design.

This award is obviously a reflection of your consistent innovation in POS/POP solutions. What would your attribute this consistency and success to?

The key to producing consistent innovative solutions starts with the right understanding of brief, which is essential to conceptualize the right design which then converts to an effective display solution
