Estimate the expenditure
Understand the ballpark estimate of the place(s) you propose to visit. It has three immediate allied points you need to figure out: With whom, how long and when.

Who are you going with? Is it your family? Or your friends? Are there kids in the entourage? Or, are all of those elders? What are their specific needs, material and medical.
