Travel in the state, in the country, and even all across the globe. If one travels a lot, it is obvious that knowledge of culture of places and people is a must. It is something that one may acquire on the job, and that it is essential when you meet folks from regions which are different from yours.

Or if you ask them, kag u vas zavoot (what is your name in Russian) – don’t be surprised to find big smiles flashing on their visages. They will definitely be pleased with you, and their opinion of you will go up several times……….With a Frenchman, if you discuss chardonnays or champagnes, they will certainly get the feeling that you have read up a bit about them and their land, just to have some meaningful dialogue with them.
