Happy Together star Amber Stevens West happily nests in her new home and nursery.
GET READY TO SWOON: WHEN SUNNY-EYED actress Amber Stevens West “belly popped,” as she puts it, she and her oh-so-handsome husband Andrew J. West (the adult Henry Mills on Once Upon a Time) happened to be on a monthlong romantic escapade in Paris. Strolling the Rive Gauche with her man, exploring museums and “sleeping in late and making our own breakfast— it was very romantic,” Stevens understates.
This fall, her life has been a little more, shall we say, fou. She got a special gift for her 32nd birthday on October 7: Her daughter, Ava Laverne West, arrived that very same day. Before newborn baby bliss, she was pregnant and filming her new (aptly titled) sitcom Happy Together, where she and Damon Wayans Jr. play a set-in-their-ways married couple suddenly renting out a room to an Australian pop heartthrob (Felix Mallard). Meanwhile, West and her real-life husband of four years are still renovating the 1920s-built Spanish-style home in northwest Los Angeles they bought last year.
So who can blame West, joyfully showing off her baby girl’s nursery, for wanting the room to be a “soothing” oasis of neutral colors and say-ahhh textures. “I want [my baby] to be able to feel calm,” West says of her little Libra, adding in her upbeat, melodic way, “I want everyone to feel calm in here.”
