Once, long ago, I had this conversation with Alia Bhatt about Ranbir Kapoor where I asked her if she'll ever get bored of him. Her reply amazed me. She said getting bored of him would be like getting bored of oneself. Being angry with him would be akin to being angry with oneself. She said she didn't see any difference between her and Ranbir. I dismissed it then as a misplaced enthusiasm of a love-struck girl. Like everyone else, even I thought they'll have a passing fling and then move on to their separate ways. I guess living in close proximity with the industry has made me cynical about love. Because despite the difference in age and temperament, they grew together over the years and became a genuine article.
