Her father Sajjid Khan took the Indian embroidery to the world of Valentino, Elie Saab, Roberto Cavalli and Georgio Armani, Hence, Shehla grew up watching the magic of fashion unravel in front of her eyes. Designing was never a chore for her. It was literally in her blood and came as easy as breathing. Having seen the melange of the East and the West first hand, it’s natural that her designs reflect the best of both the worlds. Feminine yet bold, classic yet chic… She works every day to give back to the fashion industry what it has given to her. WHAT’S YOUR TAKE ON DESIGNER MASKS AND HOW FASHION IS EVOLVING WITH THE PANDEMIC?

I think it’s necessary to contribute and also make money for yourself. As a designer, it is your job to cater to people’s needs. If there is something a person is looking for, it is our job to provide them with it. I think it’s great that everyone is coming up with their own version of masks. They are anyway a necessity and now people can have fun with them.
