Relationships are Sidharth malhotra's top priority. Rachi Gupta in conversation with the affable star.
Tall, silent and brooding. If you thought you had Sidharth Malhotra figured out, you’re wrong. He maybe a man of few words but that’s only till you break the ice. Once you’ve thawed out the hunk, he can talk, talk and talk some more. He may look like a jock but he has the sensitivity of a passionate lover. He’s a sprinter with a poet’s finesse. He places utmost importance on relationships. His friends, his family and his loved ones occupy top spot in the star’s life. Next comes ambition. Sidharth has set some high benchmarks for himself. He’s not content with the upward curve he’s hit with movies like Ek Villain, Brothers and Kapoor & Sons. He wants to be the biggest thing in B-town. And he believes he can do it without fraternising. Yet he insists the industry is a place to forge solid relationships. He can even party hard with his closest competitor.
He’s not your regular cut-throat motivated professional. There’s a sense of easy calm about him. Unhurried, but sorted and focussed. Sidharth Malhotra knows that friendships and memories are the real treasures in life. You don’t need to coax him to talk about controversies either. He just addresses the elephant in the room, keeping his disposition as cool as a cucumber. Whether it’s the spotlight on his relationship with Alia Bhatt or the phenomenal hits on the Kala chashma song from Baar Baar Dekho, Sidharth has an insightful opinion on everything. You can’t throw him off. He’s like a rock in the middle of the sea. Solid, chiselled and resolute. A man among the boys. That rare combination of wood and spice. A toughie, who believes love can move mountains. Excerpts from a candid conversation...
