Pilot Ara Zobayan became disoriented after flying into thick fog, according to National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) officials.
The helicopter, a Sikorsky 5-76B, slammed into a hillside about 40 minutes after takeoff on Jan. 26, 2020.
The Los Angeles Lakers legend, 41, his 13-year-old daughter and seven others — who were headed to a youth hoops tournament — died in the fiery crash.
