The African bush came to London last week as the exclusive Hurlingham Club was transformed for a safari-themed charity ball.
The private club, a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge and her sister Pippa Middleton, was filled with images of elephants, the sound of African drums and lots of leopard print as 450 guests embraced a “black tie, safari-chic” theme.
Hosted by broadcaster Clare Balding, guests at the Tofauti Conservation Ball included former British tennis ace Tim Henman and his wife Lucy, ex-England rugby union star Simon Shaw and cricket commentator Alison Mitchell, who enjoyed a drinks reception, three-course meal and an auction led by Sky presenter Jonny Gould.
Meanwhile, retired Team GB Olympic hockey player Crista Cullen, whose Tofauti Foundation organized the event, was joined by her gold-medal-winning Rio 2016 team-mates Maddie Hinch and Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh.
