Model, actress, funny girl, feminist, face of New Look and self-deprecating to boot… Seriously, what is Suki’s Waterhouse’s secret? Look caught up with her to find out.

Is it her down-to-earth Instafeed, her side-splitting sense of humour or her killer style? We can’t quite put our finger on it, but there’s definitely something about Suki Waterhouse.

When we arrive at her bedroom for our chat, Suki’s on her phone. ‘I’m planning this party,’ she tells us. ‘I need to find out if we need strippers...’ That party turns out to be bestie Cara Delevingne’s wild 24th birthday celebrations, of course.

Today Suki’s casual in dungarees and a ‘stolen’ vintage tee, but she looks the kind of cool we’d have to spend hours perfecting. It’s not hard to see why the 24-year-old’s fronting New Look’s new campaign (you saw it here first, ladies) and looking m-e-g-a. Natch. By approx 2.3 minutes, as hilarious as it sounds, we’re already firmly immersed in Suki’s world…

Hi Suki! You’ve got an amazing group of mates. How would your best friend describe your style?

Poppy [Jamie] would say really nice things because she’s lovely, but I’d say probably quite baggy. I’m usually in quite chilled-out, mismatched clothes. I like a ‘something a bit wrong with it’ look.

What one buy from the New Look edit are you most obsessed with?

I really love the red mod skirt. It makes me feel like I can go go-go dancing in the 60s.
