A mid a turbulent year, Charlotte Dawson provided us with constant giggles on social media with her hilarious videos, in which she embraced her post-pregnancy curves.
But when we catch up with the MTV star, who has now lost an incredible 3½st, she tells us that behind the smiles, she was feeling unhealthy and on the cusp of developing Type 2 diabetes.
After stern words from her concerned GP, the 29-year-old, who has an 11-month-old son Noah with her fiancé Matthew Sarsfield, embarked on a mission to get fit.
Thanks to her dance-inspired exercise plan and healthy diet, Charlotte now weighs 8st 7lb. She has dropped four dress sizes, as well as going down a shoe size!
“I’ve never felt or looked better to be honest,” she tells us.
As well as seeing an improvement in her confidence and health, Charlotte admits her relationship with former rugby star Matthew, 30, is better than ever and she now has more energy to care for their son. “I need to be the cool mum doing all the school races,” she says.
The presenter, who is encouraging others to follow in her fitness footsteps by signing up to her platform Chazza’s Belleh Blaster, reveals the premature death of her dad, comedian Les Dawson, when she was a baby, was another reason to ditch her previous diet of chips and gravy.
“I want to be around for Noah and I don’t want to have these health issues,” she says. “If my dad would have listened and sorted himself out, he might still be here today.”
Here, Charlotte reveals more about her health mission, how she hopes to help others and admits she wants a five-day wedding...
Charlotte, you look amazing! Tell us about your incredible fitness journey...
