Love Island star Thomas Powell has vowed he won’t give up taking performance enhancing drugs (PED) despite the injections forcing him to undergo breast surgery.
Just days after having reconstructive surgery, which he live-streamed on YouTube, the 30-year-old, who took part in season two of Love Island, defiantly told new, “Without a doubt, I will be on steroids for life. I don’t drink, I don’t take drugs, I’m not a party animal. So steroids are my poison.”
Thomas, who previously dated Married At First Sight Australia’s Tamara Joy, developed a condition called gynaecomastia due to his excessive use of the drugs, which leads to a build-up of oestrogen behind the nipples. “It comes from too much testosterone in the body – mine was through injected testosterone,” he exclusively explained.
