‘I wish Lucinda had left with me'

Brad McClelland opens up about his feelings for Lucinda Strafford after leaving the Love Island villa

When Lucinda walked into the villa, Brad fell hard. He soon started grafting, talking about marriage and kids before “Cinds” had barely applied any sunscreen. But fans wondered if Lucinda, 21, was really into Brad, or if he’d soon be pied.

When the couple were forced to decide which of them would leave the show, or whether they’d go together, Brad volunteered. Now, labourer Brad, 26, is out – but he’s not giving up on Lucinda just yet…

Hi Brad! How did you decide who would leave the villa?

Straight off, I said, “I’ll leave.” I had a bit more time than her, so going off time alone it’s only fair that she got her shot at it.

Did you hope Lucinda would leave with you?

On the night, it was one of them situations where I didn’t want her to leave [with me]. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to continue it on the outside. Waking up this morning, I wish we had left together. I want to see where that could have went.
