Superstar dancing couple Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec tell us about changes for the new series and getting the royal seal of approval

Strictly Come Dancing pro dancers Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec are TV royalty.

The pair have ruled the BBC’s famous dance floor for the past eight years, with Aljaž, 31, taking home the Glitterball Trophy with Abbey Clancy in 2013, and Janette, 37, waltzing her way into last year’s grand final alongside HRVY.

But this year it’s all change, as Janette is saying a fond farewell to the show that made her a household name and heading off on a new adventure – as the brand new host of the show’s sister series, It Takes Two.

And while she can’t wait to present her own show, Janette is understandably sad about the end of this chapter of her life.

“I’ve been doing television since I was 12, but the best of the best has to be Strictly Come Dancing,” Janette tells new in our exclusive chat.

“I’m really, really going to miss it.”

But both Janette and her husband of four years Aljaž are already excited about the new series now that the likes of Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn, Loose Women’s Judi Love and Great British Bake Off champion John Whaite have been announced as contestants.
