The Fight For Shiloh - 300 Days Without Dad!

The family is finding a new norm, as brad continues his fight for joint custody.

Suspended high up in the air, the Jolie-Pitt children couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they took to the rides in the Happiest Place on Earth on July 12. From roller-coasters to merry-go-rounds, the kids made a day enjoying all the spoils that Disneyland had to offer with mum Angelina Jolie in tow. Celebrating twins Vivienne and Knox’s ninth birthday, the family fun day out saw all six kids come together – with Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, and 11-year-old Shiloh joining their brother and sister to celebrate.

However, one person missing from the picture-perfect day out was dad Brad Pitt. In fact, the actor has been absent from scenes with his children for more than 300 days – ever since the now-infamous plane row that spelled the beginning of the end for his and Ange’s marriage.

‘Brad’s [still] adjusting to life post-Angelina, and he’s starting to settle into a groove, but he misses the kids so much still that it hurts,’ says an insider.

‘It’s like Brad has this huge heaping void in his life that he just can’t fill… He’s super committed to his sobriety, so it’s not even like he can have a drink or anything to take off the edge. He’s starting to do really well again though, and he lives for the chances he gets to Skype with his kids – they truly are his everything.’

Of course, the kids have been deeply affected by their parents’ divorce, too – and perhaps the hardest hit by Brad’s absence over the past 10 months is Shiloh.

‘Shiloh is taking it the hardest,’ a source has previously shared. ‘She’s a daddy’s girl and she’s apparently upset with her mum for keeping them apart. Angelina is trying to explain that it’s for the best, but the kids don’t see it that way.’
