Growing up in County Durham, Sara Davies got a taste for business working for her family’s decorating firm, and that’s where her love for all things arts and crafts took off. Sara took her passion and turned it into a business, and her firm Crafter’s Companion was born.
In 2019, aged just 35, she joined the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, becoming the youngest investor in its history so far. Her northern charm, no-nonsense persona and her desire for success have made her one of the most popular personalities on the show.
We sat down with Sara, now 37, to chat about her business empire, huge TV career and family life with husband Simon and their kids Oliver and Charlie – and find out exactly how she juggles them all…
You’ve been a part of Dragons’ Den for a few years now. What entices you back each series?
I’m at that stage in my business career where investing was the next step for me. We just sit and see a conveyor belt of fantastic businesses. For someone who wants to invest, Dragons’ Den is absolutely the best place to find the best businesses.
