AS THE ROYALS RESUME THEIR PUBLIC DUTIES WITH NEW RESTRICTIONS THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE SHARES HER LOCKDOWN ‘UPS AND DOWNS’

The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she returned to public duty with a visit to Fakenham Garden Centre in Norfolk, to celebrate the reopening of small businesses. Kate is a self-confessed gardening fan and grows vegetables at the family home, Anmer Hall.

However, despite her sunny disposition, just days earlier she had spoken of the challenges faced during lockdown.

In a video call to school children, she said, “We all have our ups and downs, especially when things change in our lives as they have in so many ways recently. Sometimes these feelings may be good, but sometimes they may be uncomfortable, and we feel worried, angry or upset.”

She added, “It’s been a really difficult time for us all. But it’s important to know that these feelings and frustrations are totally normal, and that they won’t last forever.”
