With the arrival of the spectra gang 2.0 on b&b, here’s a timeline to bring you up to speed on their storied past.

1989: Renowned knockoff artist Sally Spectra — along with her ditzy assistant, Darla, and immigrant tailor, Saul — took the high fashion world by storm when she blackmailed Forrester designer Clarke to secretly design for her as “Beau Rivage”. Sally sweet-talked Stephanie Forrester into a joint Forrester/Spectra fashion show aboard the Queen Mary.

1990: Sally’s daughter, Macy Alexander, dated Thorne, but didn’t clue him in about her mother’s identity. Sally offered Clarke her company if he married her; he accepted. Disguised as a man, Sally was arrested for trespassing at FC. Thorne wed Macy.

1991: When Steph wound up on Skid Row after she lost her memory following a stroke, Sally brought her home. Sally wooed a disgruntled Felicia Forrester to her firm and their hip-hop fashion show was a hit. Sally got pregnant and threw out philandering hubby Clarke. Sally gave birth to a son, C.J.

1992: With Spectra struggling, Darla dated Bill Spencer, Sr., and convinced him to save Spectra. Thorne fell for Karen.

1993: Distraught over losing Thorne, Macy battled alcoholism and was drawn to Spectra’s new designer, Anthony Armando. Sally staged a “Salute to Hollywood” fundraiser with Forrester featuring Anthony’s designs, which was a smash.

1994: Macy and Thorne divorced, but became a recording duo. Anthony’s next endeavor was another hit, the Grand Diva line for full-figured women. That December, Sally, Macy, Eric and Thorne appeared in concert in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
