In Reality

REMEMBER the last time everyone around you went crazy for Pokémon Go? Everywhere you would come across people who were in continuous hunt for these virtual creatures, hiding nobody knows-where. Yes, I’m talking about Augmented Reality games— app-based toys that are fast getting popular in our country. Augmented Reality (AR) is the catchall term for technology that blends digital objects into the physical world. AR is different from Virtual Reality (VR), which relies on headsets to block your perception of the world outside with the headset or goggles you need to wear. With augmented reality, you’re always relying on what your own senses perceive in the real world; it just has some extra enhancements. AR toys alter one’s current perception of a real-world environment, whereas Virtual Reality toys function by replacing the real world environment with a simulated one.
