Gorilla clapped her hands. “I am so happy!” she said. “The Great King Ape is coming for dinner!”
Chimp jumped up and down on the couch. He jumped up and down on the chair. He swung across the curtains.
“Yes, yes!” he said. “Time to party!”
“I will cook a meal fit for a king!” said Gorilla.
“I will cook, too!” said Chimp.
But Gorilla did not want Chimp to cook. He was sloppy. He would make a mess. Chimp would ruin her perfect meal.
“First, please go to the store,” said Gorilla. “We need a new tablecloth. This one is dirty.”
“Sure!” said Chimp. When he came back, Gorilla was cooking. “I want to cook, too!” Chimp said.
“Yes, yes, but please go back to the store,” said Gorilla. “We need more drinks.”
