Andhra Pradesh is one of the southern states of India. It is bounded by Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Odisha and Telangana. Amaravati is its capital. The rivers Krishna and Godavari irrigate the state, and Vishakapatnam, also known as Vizag, is one of India’s major ports.
