A NEW transport age is definitely underway and it’s one that could be just as revolutionary as the invention of the steam locomotive and the development of the combustion engine. Electric cars were the stuff of science-fiction books when I was a little boy, up there with robotic butlers, x-ray specs and tin-foil clothing.
It’s taken a long-time to turn fantasy into reality but at last the technology is advanced enough to create a practical alternative to petrol and diesel power and a cleaner, greener, quieter way to travel. So if electric cars are about to change our lives, what about electric lorries?
