How does she do it all? It’s hard to sum up Katrina Kaif’s career in the spotlight, but it’s safe to say her aura has grown to megawatt brightness over the two decades she’s spent in the industry. Katrina occupies that rare space only a chosen few ascend to, in terms of celebrity and fame. To get there requires a superhuman level of grit, determination and hard work. To watch her process at work, on something even as fleeting – in the grand scheme of things – as a magazine shoot, is to know that she possesses all these attributes (and then some) in abundance. Perhaps the biggest indication of her abilities is in the other role she’s added to her nomenclature – Co-founder. She is the first actor in India to launch her own beauty brand, Kay Beauty, which has grown exponentially since its inception in 2019. A brand that lives up to its promise of quality, nourishment and diversity – there’s something for everyone – is something Katrina is personally invested in. And it shows in everything from the campaigns (who can forget their debut advertisement that swept the internet) to the actual makeup products themselves. We sat down with Katrina to talk about her relationship with beauty, the seed of the idea of Kay Beauty, and how she translated thought into action. It’s safe to say… she means business!
