Gigantic Gator Grabs Gramps!

Victim, 85, rips foot from beast’s jaws – but leaves his shoe behind.

AN 85-YEAR-OLD man nearly lost his foot — and his life — when a ten-foot alligator chomped its massive jaws down around his ankle and tried to drag him into a pond for a bigger meal.

The Marine vet, who police only identified as George, was shooing birds off his property at Cypress Lakes retirement community in Lakeland, Fla., when he got too close to the water’s edge and the silent green monster struck.

Landscaper Edward Donnelly was working nearby when he heard George’s horrifying screams and dashed to help.
