Alessandro Nivola plays a disgraced photographer in an epic global thriller
The iconic photograph of a defiant man standing in the path of a Chinese tank during the Tiananmen Square protests in Beijing in 1989 is at the heart of C4’s gripping new international thriller Chimerica, which begins this week.
The four-part series, based on Lucy Kirkwood’s acclaimed 2013 play, centres on fictional American photojournalist Lee Berger, played by Alessandro Nivola, who launched his career by capturing one of the famous shots of ‘Tank Man’.
