As TV&Satellite Week arrives on London’s picturesque Hampstead Heath, a poignant scene is being filmed for the new series of The Split, BBC1’s unmissable drama about a high-flying family law firm.

The show’s central character, divorce lawyer Hannah Stern (Nicola Walker), along with her sisters Nina (Annabel Scholey) and Rose (Fiona Button) and their formidable mother Ruth (Deborah Findlay), are scattering the ashes of Ruth’s ex-husband Oscar following his death at the end of the first series.

As the second series begins, three months have passed. But while Hannah and her husband Nathan (Stephen Mangan) appear to have got their marriage back on track, she still can’t forgive him for his past indiscretions and is now having a full-on affair with old flame and fellow divorce lawyer Christie (Barry Atsma).

Could Hannah’s own marriage soon be in jeopardy? We chatted to Walker, 49, to find out more…

Is Hannah looking for revenge after her husband Nathan cheated on her?
