Chris O’Dowd from The IT Crowd and Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike play husband and wife in a new comedy about a troubled marriage, written by Fever Pitch and About a Boy author Nick Hornby.
With 10 episodes of 10 minutes each, BBC2’s State of the Union follows Tom (O’Dowd) and Louise (Pike), who meet in a pub before their weekly marital therapy session.
PRIVATE LIVES
‘Essentially it’s two people sitting in a bar across the road from their therapist’s office,’ says O’Dowd, 39. ‘But because the dynamics of the relationship are changing with each episode, it feels like it’s got a nice movement to it without us actually moving much.’
