Watch out Bake off! Nadiya Hussain and Zoë Ball host BBC2’s new cookery contest
With the new series of The Great British Bake Off due to start shortly on Channel 4, the BBC has come up with a potential rival in The Big Family Cooking Showdown.
Presented by Zoë Ball and 2015 Bake Off champion Nadiya Hussain, the 12-part series sees 16 very different families battle it out to be crowned the nation’s best family of cooks.
Each week, two families of three will compete in a series of challenges to impress the judges – chefs Rosemary Shrager and Giorgio Locatelli. And in a smart twist, the families will also welcome Nadiya, Zoë, Giorgio and Rosemary into their own homes, where they’ll whip up dishes using their favourite family recipes.
