Five million women and girls around the world are currently victims of sexual exploitation. That’s the shocking statistic at the heart of BBC2’s powerful drama Doing Money, exploring modern slavery in Britain and Ireland.
The one-off drama, part of the BBC’s Why Slavery? season and based on a real-life case, centres on Romanian cleaner Ana (Anca Dumitra), who is kidnapped from London and forced to work in brothels in Northern Ireland and the Republic.
