Corrie’s Alison King on the fun she had playing a copper in Rupert Grint’s comedy Sick Note…
NEW COMEDY
Sick Note
Thursday / sky one / 10Pm
Playing Coronation Street’s fiery businesswoman Carla Connor, Alison King is used to lurching from one harrowing storyline to the next. So she was delighted to have a change of scene during her time away from the ITV soap last year to take a role in series two of Sky One’s comedy Sick Note.
She plays Chief Superintendent Christine Henchy in the show, which stars Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint as office worker Daniel Glass, whose life has spun out of control since he was misdiagnosed with terminal cancer. Daniel decided to keep the truth from his friends and family after they rally round him in support.
Here, in an exclusive interview with TV Times, Alison, 45, tells us more about the show as it returns with a double bill this week…
How would you describe Chief superintendent Christine?
