Kate Humble on following three urban families as they live and work on a farm
After more than a decade rearing pigs and sheep on her farm in Wales, Kate Humble knows just how tough country life can be. Now, in BBC2’s The Family Farm (which ended its run on BBC Wales on 10 June), the presenter is guiding three brave families from towns across Britain through the challenges of farming as they spend three weeks living and working on hill farmer Gareth Wyn Jones’ Snowdonia farm.
The Burtons, the Morgans and the McNultys will try their hand at everything from herding sheep to tagging pigs as they get a warts and-all look at how our food goes from the field to our plates.
