What happens to those left behind after a loved one’s death? That’s the question at the heart of ITV’s new darkly comic drama Finding Alice, which follows one woman’s journey of bereavement.

Created by the team behind The Durrells, the star-spangled six-parter is set in the well-heeled Home Counties and sees Keeley Hawes play bridal shop worker Alice Dillon, who’s just moved into a dream state-of-the-art ‘smart’ home designed by her builder partner Harry (Jason Merrells).

However, their future together is destroyed when Harry dies in a bizarre accident, falling down their ‘floating’ staircase. And Alice’s grief is exacerbated by a sense of disorientation in her surreal new abode – she can’t even find the fridge!
