Russ holds Wendy and Vic hostage at gunpoint...

Soap locations never truly make their mark until they’ve been the scene of a life-and-death drama, be it murder, fire or an explosion – or, in the case of The Hide this week, a siege at gunpoint.

The eatery earns its stripes when Wendy and Victoria are left fearing for their lives after dodgy Russ turns up the heat to get his hands on Vic’s cash.

‘Russ is brandishing a sawn-off shotgun, and he’s very cool about it, which makes it even scarier for them,’ says Susan Cookson, who plays Wendy.
