As Princess Mary continues on her road to becoming queen, the Tasmanian-born royal has been left with a heartbreaking choice: her best friend or the throne.
Just weeks after Woman’s Day reported she cut ties with her closest Danish friend Caroline Fleming, Mary, 45, now has to defend long-time bestie Amber Petty from vicious palace attacks over claims she is interested in witchcraft. While Caroline, who appears in reality series Ladies Of London, was cut adrift due to her hard-partying ways, a palace source insists Amber is facing the same royal ban because of her new obsession with mysticism and witchcraft.
“That’s absolutely not true,” Amber tells Woman’s Day. “Nobody from anywhere has ever told me it’s a problem.”
But royal sources claim there is mounting pressure on Mary to dump Amber, who last week fuelled rumours of a rift after posting two provocative messages on Instagram.
