CHEESECAKE CARAMEL BROWNIES

MAKES 20 LARGE BROWNIES

PREPARATION & BAKING: 120 MIN

BROWNIES

• 185g butter
• 120g dark chocolate
• 5ml (lt) instant coffee powder
• 3 eggs
• 180g (225ml) dark brown sugar
• 100g (190ml) cake flour
• 40g (100ml) cocoa powder, plus extra for dusting
• 5ml (lt) baking powder
• 2,5ml (V2t) salt
• 120g dark chocolate chips tossed in 5ml (lt) cake flour
• 1 can (360g) Caramel Treat
• 100g (160ml) toasted, chopped hazelnuts, lightly salted (optional)

TOPPING

• 300g cream cheese
• 80g (95ml) castor sugar
• 2 eggs
• 5ml (lt) vanilla essence or vanilla seeds from 1 pod
• 15ml (1T) cake flour

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 21cm x 29cm baking sheet with baking paper.

1. Brownies Place the butter, dark chocolate, and coffee in a saucepan on low heat, stirring until melted. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
