Why? That’s the question she asks herself over and over again. Why, as one of the top four on The Bachelor SA, did she not get a coveted rose? Why, when things had been going so well – or so she thought – between her and dreamboat Marc Buckner, did he reject her?
After all, they’d shared an intimate moment next to a lake under the stars. Time and again she was invited on group dates. He even got to meet her beloved mom.
Gillian Seetso (26) has a lot of questions. And a lot of heartache. Leaving the show has affected her so much she’s sought professional counseling to come to terms with what went wrong with her supposed happily-ever-after.
She already had a picture in her mind of her and Marc (38) traveling the world, laughing together, and “growing and growing together”.
But it was not to be. In the latest episode of the hit reality series, Marc had three roses to give and none of them came her way.
“I don’t think I’m completely healed because there are days and nights where I find myself just crying and questioning where it all went wrong. I sometimes get nightmares too.”
She could’ve sworn there was a spark between them.
And Gillian has – in spades – the qualities Marc professes to be looking for in a partner: beauty, wit, honesty, conversational skills, and a strong personality.
They felt comfortable around each other, she thought, and had built a friendship that Gillian believed would be a perfect foundation for a great relationship.
But her dreams of a life with Marc came crashing down.
