A FRIEND ASKED ME WHY I TRAVEL, and though I’m not as well-traveled as some other people I know, I said this with much certainty: I travel to escape and to learn—to experience something new.
I also travel because someday I might not be able to do so. You see, I was born with the most severe form of Spina bifida. This means my legs are weak and I walk with a limp, not to mention I have no control of the organs concerned with flushing out body waste.
