WHAT’S IN KATIE’S KIT

THE INTEREST IN BEAUTY CAME… at a young age actually, as I watched my mum transform from a stay-home mother in the day into her singer alter ego at night, when she sang to a room of adoring fans. The transformation from home clothes to glamour stuck with me.

INSPIRATION COMES FROM… colours, textures, shapes, fashion, etc, anywhere if you look for it. Even something as random as the colours of two houses on the streets of Notting Hill can be inspiration.

CREATIVE FREEDOM… is the ability to just play and have fun with whatever medium you create with. No rules, no guidelines, just products and a face.

WHEN I THINK ABOUT IMPERFECTION… I see beauty. There is something beautiful about a slightly smudged smoky eye or blurred red lip. Everybody’s opinion of what’s perfect is different, and there’s beauty in that, too.

A BEAUTY ROLE MODEL THAT I LOOK UP TO IS… Ashley Graham. She’s a friend and client, and every time I’m with her I feel more confident about myself because confidence is in her DNA, and that’s so beautiful to me.
