Now, I'll be the first to admit that I didn't quite get the need for hand creams. I'd use them occasionally in the office and on winter holidays, but it just wasn't part of my daily skincare regimen - until I went on a recent trip to Krabi. It was on the second night that I noticed my hands drying out at an unusually quick pace, with fine lines stretching taut across the fingertips and palms. Extra-dry hands weren't something I'd anticipated on a tropical vacation, but I reckon all that sun, sand, and salty seawater had dried my skin out much quicker than usual. And no, my body lotion and facial moisturiser didn't offer the same kind of relief that my beaten-up tube of Nonfiction hand cream did.
