Skin radiance, being a charming compliment, is ironically hard to define. It’s oft alluded to complexion so bright it’s “like a light bulb”, or having a cherub-like rosiness that seems to be beaming from the pores. Admittedly, they all make sense, kind of, yet not really; radiance is quite a je ne sais quoi that’s hard to put a finger on — like someone’s had a potent combination of eight hours of sleep, well-balanced chi, and inner beauty all at once.

Of course, glow-from-within skin is the ultimate goal for anyone who engages in a skincare routine. Skin, however, can be as finicky as a three-year-old picky eater — if it isn’t fed with products that suit its appetite or nurtured in an environment that’s optimal, it protests, in a way that’s impossible to ignore: dullness. Essentially, skin dullness is a catch-all term for a complexion that’s not looking its best because it’s not reflecting light well enough for the coveted skin luminosity.
