Since I can remember… I always dreamt of becoming an actress. When the film Sarafina came out in 1992, I was captivated by Leleti Khumalo’s performance: that’s the moment I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps. From then on, I spent an extraordinary amount of time re-enacting movie scenes for my family, or practising monologues in front of the mirror.

The woman I admire most is… my mother. As a single parent she worked incredibly hard to raise me and my brother – I still don’t know how she did it! To this day, my mom is my biggest inspiration.
