How does one celebrate a history as rich as the Philippines, a nation of creative stalwarts and innovators? Some painted in large, broad, colorful strokes, some focused on the minutiae and the most delicate of details. The voices may be different, but they sing one song and they sing it masterfully.

It’s been two years since Nadine Lustre and I last talked. Back then, we were in a too-cold room in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for #MakingMEGA, the documentary series that follows the making of a MEGA cover. Now, we were in the familiar confines of a Zoom room, avatars staring at each other.
“A lot has happened since the last time we saw each other in Brazil,” she tells me with a rueful laugh.
