Even though she needed hip replacement surgery, Amy Hicks, 86, was determined to compete in the National Senior Games this year. She’s participated in all but one of the national games since 1991, and she wasn’t about to let osteoarthritis (OA) make her miss this one. “I enjoy the games, the competition and the camaraderie,” she says.
