HOW TO MAKE REUSABLE GIFT WRAP

MATERIALS

Three 50 x 50cm (19¾ x 19¾) old white cotton fabric (we used old bedsheets)

Fabric offcuts in different colours

Stainless steel pot and spoon

10g (¼ oz) black tea

Tea filter

Unsweetened milk (soy or cow’s milk)

Paintbrushes

Rubber bands

Ruler

Living more eco-consciously starts with the little things. While it can feel like waste is unavoidable at Christmastime, it’s the small steps that will help to make a difference. Try using natural decorations like dried orange slices and plants, and give this reusable gift wrap a go with any offcuts of fabric you’ve got lying around.

It’s inspired by the Japanese traditional furoshiki cloths used for wrapping special items, and will make finishing off those gifts quicker and easier – plus they’ll look really pretty under the tree.
