2. Interior Designer - Steve Cordony - AGRARIAN CHIC [Orange]
Tradition Meets State of the Art in the kitchen of Steve Cordony’s Rosedale Farm. Chevron parquetry flooring, striped Roman blinds and the distinguished details of the Shaker-style joinery evoke a sense of pastoral grandeur while modern appliances and notes of polished brass break the mould. After all, this is a kitchen designed to entertain at a moment’s notice. “I wanted the kitchen to be a mix of classic American elegance and Shaker style. After much deliberation and sampling I decided to go with a deep khaki/charcoal colour that the brass hardware and lighting would contrast with.” What luxury items did you choose for this kitchen regardless of budget? “I love to cook so the appliance choice made a big impact on the overall look and design of the kitchen. Miele was used through the kitchen and laundry and I was lucky enough to be one of the first customers to install the Generation 7000 series oven, which seamlessly blends into the kitchen joinery. I also installed two Miele fridge/ freezers and two dishwashers as we love to entertain. The Calacatta Vagli marble from CDK Stone was non-negotiable, as was the recycled chevron oak flooring!” stevecordony.com
